Rosa Parks Exhibition Marketing

The Library of Congress houses over 85,000 items in its collection related to Rosa Parks. In 2019, the library introduced the Rosa Parks: In Her Own Words exhibition to the public. The exhibition highlighted the different aspects of Park’s life, from her early life, to activism, and her global impact. As an intern in the Office of Communications, I was tasked with the role of producing marketing/promotional materials for the exhibition. As a result, I developed a 90-second reel for the library’s Instagram spotlighting materials from the collection including images, videos, and other documents. The reel was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. The reel was published twice on the library’s Instagram page, totaling 26.1k views, and 1,436 engagements.
